Get RC5 then in the engine section of the ini file all you should use these settings but change the resolution to your screen resolution

ForceDisplayRefreshRate=false
ForceAnisotropicFiltering=false
MaxAnisotropy=8
AntialiasingSampleCount=4
DisplayRefreshRateHz=60

Right well I just got AA working yesterday, and it looks fantastic, even if I have to lower the other settings to get a decent FPS. The no AA on GTA IV was really, really getting on my nerves so I kept trying to get the ENB series working until it did.

This is a post I made in another forum:

GTA IV with ENB series:

GTA IV with ENB series:

ENB series brings AA + a few other graphical improvements to GTA IV. If Vorontsov Boris was able to add Anti Aliasing to GTA IV in his spare time, then I can't see any reason as to why Rockstar, the lazy ******* couldn't have done it.

You can download the ENB stuff from enbdev.com which seems to go offline every day in the evenings and was just offline for almost a week.

The game works fine but the AA mod seems to think it is in a higher res so things like the mobile phone and windows live thingy are messed up, but its way better than the no AA.

My screen is 1280x1024 but it thinks its higher...

For when the ENBdev site is down try these downloads:
d3dx9_26.zip
d3dx9_40.zip
enbseries_gta4_v0076e.zip

No more jagged lines woohoo!

Ohh and also ENB series let you take screenshots using printscreen, and they get saved to the main directory

1st and second pic, whats that small thing next to the tower? seems someone is falling off xD

Yeah thats the anti-aliasing so make sure its on very low like 1 or 2, or off. The other effects appear to do little towards affecting the performance, but do make things look nicer.

If you look on the other pictures its obvious he's took a print screen turned ENB on and took one again, because the objects/peds/vehicles have moved, but in that one the object hasn't moved, so can't be a falling person.

NICE!!! I have this and i really recommend this for those who have a good graphics cards! Thanks a lot for posting this!  XD

I have a HD4890 but....I don't like windowed mode and I don't want to play in 800x600. So I guess this won't work for me?
