The Story.Originating in Purgatory the Irish mob was majorly involved within Liberty Cities organised crime activities. Although it was not always this way, the mob originated in 1912 with Patrick "Buddy" McAndrew and his cousin Ciaran O'Keefe. The cousins, along with a few local Irish tough's started carrying out small robberies and stick-ups. Patrick and Ciaran were shot down by new Italian organisations within the city in 1922 to be replaced by Thomas and Micheal Kelly, second generation Irish, these brothers were ruthless and violent unable to reason with anyone without violence, this fierce reputation allowed them to reclaim the lost neighbourhoods from the Italian and Greek gangs in the area. With the added rackets gained from the withdraw of the Italians the Kelly brothers began to open up their own business' within the area of Purgatory, opening up a famous Irish bar. The Kelly brothers took a young Seamus McReary under their wing. For many years he was their errand boy commiting murders and robberies at the will of the brothers. After 4 years of hard work he became a Lieutenant within the mob and began to run his own crew. Seamus was a good earner for the Kelly's and became close with their younger sister Maureen whom he married 2 years later and gave birth to their first child Derrick in 1957. With the Kelly brothers retirement in 1964 Seamus and another Irish tough, Jimmy Murray, took over the neighbourhood. The McReary name rang out as a fiersome family, not to be taken lightly. Maureen gave birth to three more boys; Gerrald (Gerry), Francis and Patrick (Packie), finally giving birth to their youngest, Kate. In 1984 the Italian mafia moved in swiftly to Purgatory taking rackets and forcing the local Irish toughs to do work for them in exchange for money that the Irish Mob could not provide, this weakened McReary and Murray's ranks untill they had no choice but to leave the neighbourhood they had fought so hard to build. Murray was beaten to death by a gang of Irish thugs hired by the Italians. Seamus, Mary and thier 5 children had to flee to Steinway were they grew up untill 1999 when Seamus commited suicide.
Gerry, Derrick and Packie became known faces in the crime scene within Steinway, mixing with criminals in the area prodominatly of Irish decent. The brothers and their associates became hired thugs for the italian mob situated in Alderny. One of the gang's known associates was Micheal "St. Micheal" Keane who was a close friend of Packie. His murder brought his cousin, Sean Kelly, back to Liberty City. Kelly began taking over protection rackets and organising drug sales in the Steinway area, connected to the McReary family he also carried out work with them. Kelly quickly began to take over the majority of Steinway and is now the owner of the famous Steinway Beer Garden. Kelly and his associates quickly overthrew the power held in Steinway by the McReary's and is now the major power figure in the neighbourhood.

RP Guide for Steinway Irish Mob members.1. Always stay IC(In Character), try to keep all OOC stuff within PM's.
2. We are Irish-American not Irish, talk noramlly. None of this stuff "Feck off ye' eejit!" keep it american with an Irish flare "Fuck off you gobshite!"
3. Don't cause unessasary trouble around the neighbour hood. We arn't gangbangers we don't want to locals to be shit scared of us.
4. Act sensible, just because your a gangster doesn't mean you can do whatever you want, gangsters don't want to go to prison, so act normal and don't show off.
