Reducing CPU performance ?
« on: February 27, 2010, 11:43:34 AM »
Hello.

CPU: IntelPentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz, 2621 MHz L2 cache: 2MB
GPU: nVidia GeForce SUPER+ 9500 GT 1GB DDR2 128bit Shadder Model: 4
RAM: 3GB /2GB , 1GB/

I'm playing the game in 1024x768 and most of the things set to High. I'm using 768MB of total 1024MB vRAM. I've between 20-30fps, but my CPU is getting hot after playing for example an hour. Could you tell me what to change to reduce the CPU work. According to the benchmark test, the processor is running in 96% so...

Exactly HOW hot? i would say like 70 degrees for Intel is the maximum, lower than that is actually pretty OK. I runned my P4 at 62 degrees celcius.

I actually wanted to know what stuff, the game has, if I reduce, will help for the CPU's better work, exactly. I'm not neither noob, nor stupid, but it will take me some time to play with the options until I get the result I want. I didn't want to waste my time in restarting GTA all day... you know why... So that's why I asked.

I had the same problem, I put the computer to the other side where they can breathe and sides and separated a part of it done and over you will be warm, this happened and my brother

Divided the computer to find a part, put it on a page that can blow the fan and where it is separated and to be on the air. found anywhere near the wall of the table, the best place may, or thrust it through the hole on the table, I had found this problem and I solved it by this that I wrote.

Get an air canister and blow out the cpu heat sink, dust can settle and cause airflow to become restricted in the sink which in turn causes more heat build up. What exactly are your temps from your cpu?

If you dont know how to check, install this and tell me your temps.
